IEP recently released the Global Peace Index 2020 report, which measures peace and its economic impact. The report presents one of the most comprehensive, data-driven analysis on trends in peace, and how to develop peaceful societies. Facilitator: Dr. Julian Droogan is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Security Studies and Criminology, Macquarie University where he is the Editor-in-Chief of the international peer reviewed Journal of Policing, Intelligence and Counter Terrorism (Routledge), Director of the terrorism research program, and director of internationalisation and outreach. Julian’s academic background encompasses the anthropology and history of religions, and he has spent years conducting fieldwork in the Middle East, Central Asia, and South Asia.
Keynote Speaker: Charles Allen, APM, Director of Partnerships, IEP: Charles is the Director of Partnerships with the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP). These partnerships are strategic and grassroots partners inclusive of governments, non-government organizations, education organizations, service groups, and other institutes. Through partnerships, he is activating IEP’s Positive Peace framework globally.
